0000304: "Who can see shared files" group box in Preferences -> Security is invisible
Hello,

I have installed KANOTIX 2005.01 yesterday. It comes with KDE 3.3.2 and I think some GNOME 2.8 libraries, if that matters. After installing it, I went to configure aMule 2.0 rc 8 that comes bundled with KANOTIX and upon reaching the Security menu, the "Who can see shared files", which contains three radio boxes, these radio boxes are invisible, though when moving the mouse over them there apper pop-ups. However, all the pop-ups say the same thing so I can not know which of the three radio boxes to select in order to change the file sharing permissions.
This issue did not surface with other distors that I have tried, including SimplyMEPIS 3.3 test 3 or any version of KNOPPIX. Since KANOTIX is based on KNOPPIX, I believe that the issue may very well be related to aMule itself.

anton123, all the gui elements in aMule were designed using wxDesigner. This is a software developed by one of the writters of wxWidgets, Robert Roebling. Up to the moment, this is the first time we get such a report. This most probably has to do with the gnome libraries that you have changed, and that wxWidgets use. In fact, aMule does not use GTK directly, only through wxWidgets, and GTK does use gnome. I suggest that you report this to the wxWidget team, because I don't see much we can do here, once we can't reproduce it.

This bug only arises on that distro with that wx version, and thus is not fixable. So I'm closing it because it's distro's wx or gtk package fault. We do't write the widgets ourselves.
